Since 1983 the gardens at Oxleaze have been the inspiration of Chipps Mann, she has designed, curated and weeded nearly 2 acres of landscaped gardens into a stunning celebration of horticulture. Each corner has its own character which are linked by meandering pathways, archways and topiary tunnels. Chipps sees the garden as a manageable microcosm of greater, larger gardens. Combining formality and informality the garden enjoys billowing borders, a pond and bog garden, vegetable potager and decorative fruit cage, woodland garden, a wild meadow, potting shed, and topiary for structure when the flowers fade
Having been a glorious backdrop to bride and groom photos in the past, the gardens are now open by appointment, alternatively there are public open days through the National Garden Scheme
